Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer, Aviva is responsible for the overall management of Blink as well as the various projects and foundations initiated by its founding family. She works closely with the different teams on the development and execution of long term strategies with the goal to meet impact and financial objectives. She is also a board and audit committee member as part of the supervisory board of Ziekenhuis Amstelland, a hospital in the Netherlands, and is active in board roles for various charities. Prior to joining Blink, Aviva worked for ING Bank in different roles, most recently as Director in the acquisition finance and structured lending team. In this role she led a team responsible for acquisition finance transactions for Dutch mid-market private equity funds and corporates. Previously Aviva worked for the ING Structured Finance - Telecom, Media and Technology team where she originated and executed transactions in the telecoms space in the EMEA region. Aviva started her career with Atos (KPMG) Consulting and worked for GE Capital Solutions in London. She holds an MSc in Business Economics from the University of Amsterdam.
Business Development Director - US
David De Vere
David serves as Director of Business Development for Blink’s activities in the US. David has worked in Silicon Valley for more than 20 years, running his own consulting practice as well as engaging with technology and software companies across all business verticals. Most recently David worked at Amazon Web Services managing their training partner program covering North and South America, expanding market share in those territories. Prior to joining AWS, David worked for a leading business analytics company, Qlik, managing their global partner training programs. Focused on opening new territories and onboarding partners in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, David was able to build relationships across all geographies. He brings with him a depth of expertise in program management, best practices related to training and global experience managing partners of all sizes and specialties.
As Investment Director, Patrick is responsible for defining and implementing Blink’s impact investment strategy, including sourcing, evaluating, negotiating and executing investments, primarily in private companies and investment funds across Latin America and Asia. In addition, Patrick works with Blink’s existing portfolio to define and develop the organisation’s social and environmental impact measurement. Prior to joining Blink, Patrick was Business Development Director for Animal Dynamics, a bio-inspired engineering firm using drones to revolutionise logistics for essential goods and services in emerging markets. Previously, he was Latin America Senior Partner and Director of Global Investment Advisory Group for I-DEV International, facilitating finance for social impact businesses in Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. Patrick started his career in corporate finance in London, specialising in corporate valuations and energy infrastructure financing. He holds an MBA from Said Business School, University of Oxford, an ACA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and an MSc in Quantitative Development Economics from the University of Bristol.
As Investment Manager, Kevin is responsible for the sourcing, evaluating, executing and monitoring of investments in the private markets impact investment space. Prior to joining Blink, Kevin worked in the investment banking division at Morgan Stanley in London, advising clients in M&A, IPO and structured finance transactions. Previously, he spent four years working as an investment professional at the World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation, where he was involved in the assessment, execution and management of private debt, mezzanine, and private equity investments. At the IFC, Kevin worked on transactions in more than fifteen different countries with particular focus on the agriculture, fintech, microfinance and financial institutions sectors in Latin America. He started his career in equity research at Crisil, covering the transportation sector in Canada and the United States. Kevin holds an MBA from IESE Business School and a BA in Business and Finance from the Catholic University of Argentina.
Portfolio Impact Manager
As Portfolio Impact Manager, Ana is responsible for developing and implementing Blink’s impact measurement strategy across its portfolio to support investment decision-making. Ana has more than 12 years of experience focused on impact investing, private equity/venture capital, and corporate finance. She has led and executed projects across several asset classes and industries, particularly renewable energy, real estate, infrastructure and education. Prior to joining Blink, Ana worked in social impact strategy and measurement at Banco Santander. Prior to that, she worked for both the Big 4 consultancy firms, EY and Deloitte, and for several small investment houses and family offices such as Lynx Asset Managers, Third Way Africa and Alanis Capital. Additionally, in collaboration with IE University and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Ana teaches impact investing and mentors several social enterprises, mainly in Europe, Latin America and Africa. Ana is currently finishing her PhD in Impact Investing from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and she also holds a master’s degree in economics from NOVA School of Business & Economics in Lisbon.
Investment Manager - US
As Investment Manager, David is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, executing and managing investments in North America that create positive social and environmental impact in their home markets and abroad. He has a strong focus on health and wellbeing and recognises the importance of tight-knit local communities in solving social and environmental challenges. Before joining Blink, David worked in the health and wellbeing sector for 10 years in a variety of roles. He has an extensive history of giving back to society ranging from building homes for Habitat for Humanity to rebuilding projects for an underserved Indian reservation in the US. David holds an MSc in Nutrition and Human Performance from Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri and a BA in Environmental Studies from Eckerd College in in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Family Office Manager
Willeke van der Wiel
As a family office manager Willeke is responsible for the day-to-day operations, including supervising the Amsterdam office facilities. Previously she worked as a Personal Assistant at Pereira Consultancy, where she supported one of the partners. Prior to that Willeke worked for 5* Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin, working directly with the Managing Director. She was in charge of overall office support and events, such as the stay of President Obama during the Nuclear Summit in 2013, high profile gala’s and international conferences.
